Jonathan West

Head of shared medical workforce services

Jonathan is an experienced HR professional who has been head of shared medical workforce services since 2020. He has 17 years’ HR experience in healthcare in the UK and overseas. Prior to his current role, Jonathan spent three years in the Middle East, most recently as HR Director for a start-up healthcare business in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, where he created the workforce strategy, plans and policies, whilst leading all aspects of HR. Before this he was associate HR director at West Hertfordshire Hospitals NHS Trust, leading on medical HR alongside general recruitment, temporary staffing and workforce planning. He has also worked at Sidra Medicine, Qatar and at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust. Throughout his experience, Jonathan has developed high-level strategic and operational HR expertise, specialising in all aspects of medical and dental HR.
