NLPSS shortlisted in 2023 HPMA Excellence in People awards

We are delighted to announce that North London Partners Shared Services (NLPSS) is one of three finalists in the working smarter category of the upcoming 2023 Healthcare People Management Association (HPMA) Awards.

HPMA Excellence in People awards

NLPSS has been recognised for its implementation of electronic new starter forms on the recruitment system, Trac, and building two robotic processes which automatically download the e-forms and input the applicant’s personal details to their Electronic Staff Record (ESR). This process has been activated for eight trusts whose recruitment service is delivered by NLPSS.

Prior to the implementation of this system, the format of new starter forms varied from paper documents to Excel forms. Paper forms were less eco-friendly and time consuming for the applicant while the Excel forms were not user friendly and often had to be returned to the applicants because of inaccuracies.

Director of employment services at NLPSS, Gareth Jones, said: “We wanted to make the new starter forms process quicker, more user friendly, and reduce variation across our partners. This has resulted in a more efficient process, improved the time to hire candidates, dramatically reduced data inaccuracies, and led to 100% satisfaction rates among new starters for their experience of completing the e-forms.

“Using robotic automation for the input of these forms to ESR also enables our staff to focus on more value-adding tasks, enriching their own personal working experience.”

The overall winner will be announced at an awards ceremony on 19 September 2023. See the shortlist here.
