North London Partners Shared Services (NLPSS) took the top spot in the working smarter category at the 2023 Healthcare People Management Association (HPMA) Awards ceremony.

Held at the Royal Armouries Museum in Leeds on 19 September, the event recognised NLPSS for its implementation of electronic new starter forms on the recruitment system, Trac, and building two robotic processes which automatically download the e-forms and input the applicant’s personal details to their Electronic Staff Record (ESR). This process has been activated for eight trusts whose recruitment service is delivered by NLPSS.

Director of employment services at NLPSS, Gareth Jones, said: “We are thrilled to receive this award and to be able to deliver a more sustainable and efficient system for our customers.

“Prior to the implementation of the electronic process, the format of new starter forms varied from paper documents to Excel forms. We now have a user-friendly system which has improved the time to hire candidates and dramatically reduced data inaccuracies.”
